We at Compost Happens Environmental Education run workshops for Councils, Private Business and Homes in and around Sydney and throughout NSW.

    We spend approximately 80% of our time in side surrounded and breathing in the residue of chemicals we have used to clean our homes and offices.

    Learn how to clean your home and office using NO CHEMICALS that will affect your health and your families.

  • Worm Farming

    Composting and Worm Farming

    COMPOSTING: Participants learn what compost is, what lives in it and how to use the end product. Using food scraps that normally end up in land fill, they will learn hands-on how to set up and maintain a healthy compost.

    WORM FARMING: Participants learn why worms are so important to our soil, how to maintain a healthy worm farm, what worms eat, how to set up the worm farm, how to feed their worms, and how to use the casting and the juice to grow the healthiest food.

  • Small Space Gardening, No Dig Gardening, A kitchen Garden, Sprouting

    Small Space Gardening, No Dig Gardening, A kitchen Garden, Sprouting

    No Dig Gardening Participants learn how to build their own food garden, using a no dig system that over the seasons is just built upon; layer upon layer.

    A kitchen Garden is ideal for those who want to grow herbs and easy to grow vegetables is a small space.

    Sprouting is easy and fun, learn how to grow many different types of seeds, 100% nutrition value. There are more ways to use sprouts than to just eat them raw.

    Natural Baby Care; Green shopping and Living with Baby and Toddlers

    Participants learn what to avoid using around babies and toddlers, identify ingredients, labeling, the difference between Organic and Non-Organic, wash baby clothes leaving no harsh chemical residue and what toxic materials are used to make toys.

    Green Shopping and Living, Sustainable Eating and Ethical Food Choices

    Participants will be shown how to make gradual and permanent change, learn about food miles, how we can make ethical food choices, what is the connection of TV and shop product placement, audit their own garbage bin and realise waste avoidance, minimization is not just volume, it’s toxicity also.

    How to save $’s around your home

    There is no such thing as waste, learn great ideas how to use left over food and what is a no Waste Lunch? How can you avoid using toxic plastic food wrap, gather some great shopping tips how to save money and shop wisely for you and mother earth.
